An Unhappy Woman is Nick's first mainstage production with New Jersey Repertory Company. He previously directed the staged reading of this play as well as Marriage to an Older Woman with NJ Rep. Nick just completed directing and designing Stephen Sondheim's Assassins for Phoenix Productions and was recently named to the Board of Directors for that company. Favorite directing projects include William Finn's A New Brain (New Jersey premiere), The Who's Tommy, The Secret Garden and Paul Rudnick's Jeffrey. Nick received two ACT awards in 1996 for his production of Evita, for Outstanding Direction and Outstanding Choreography. Immediately following An Unhappy Woman, Nick will direct the first area production of the musical Titanic at the Count Basie Theater. Nick is also Artistic Director for the Starving Artist Theater Company. In real life, Nick is a Kindergarten Teacher in Long Branch, where he was named the 2000-2001 District Teacher of the Year.
