“It Runs in the Family”
Britain’s master farceur is at it again. Set in a hospital, the playwright gives us an assortment of slightly off-center people running in and out of doors mistaking everyone for someone else. Wherever Dr. Mortimore turns, he is fending off a paternity suit, an ex-wife, a punkish daughter and other malcontents, constantly interrupting his hospital duties. His professional life hangs in the balance as the good doctor tries to keep his composure, his job and his sanity, while preparing his lecture for an international conference in the face of all this lunacy.
