“Clue: The Musical” at Somerset Valley Players

“Clue: The Musical”
Music by Galen Blum, Wayne Barker & Vinnie Martucci
Lyrics by Tom Chiodo
Book by Peter DePietro

The internationally popular board game is now a rousing, fun-filled musical which brings the world's best-known murder suspects to life and invites the audience to play along to solve the mystery of who killed Mr. Boddy, in what room and with what weapon. This clever show fuses wonderfully entertaining theatre with classic game play. The audience receives playing forms so they can deduce the solution from clues given throughout and, during the opening scene, three audience members choose the cards representing the potential murderers, weapons and rooms to place in the large "Confidential" envelope; there are 216 possible solutions. Comic antics, witty lyrics and a beguiling score carry the investigation from room to room. Even after the murderer confesses, a surprise twist delights the audience.
