“Sniper” at Phoenix Productions

“Sniper”
by Bonnie Culver

Before the Texas Bell Tower, before Columbine, there was a teenager in Upstate New York who took the lives of innocent people in his hometown. The aftermath of this real-life tragedy forms the basis for Sniper, the original play by Bonnie Culver.
This provocative, complex play examines the case of an intelligent and seemingly upright teenage boy who inexplicably takes a rifle to a rooftop and randomly kills in his small town community. A screenplay adapted from the script was a finalist in the Sundance Film Development Program.
