“Victor & The Virgin” at Passage Theatre Company

“Victor & The Virgin”
by Thomas Dunn

In the back room of a New Orleans honky-tonk the racial barrier preventing black musicians from being recorded is challenged by a beautiful and precocious Creole girl who uses her feminine wiles in a persuasion, which convinces the Victor recording company to make Louis Armstrong a star.

Victor & The Virgin is a steamy tale of racism and seduction, set in New Orleans in the roaring 20’s.
