This highly original Caribbean adaptation of Hans Christian Anderson's fairy tale "The Little Mermaid" tells how peasant girl Ti Moune tries to win the love of the wealthy David and is tested by the powerful forces of prejudice. With it's poignant story and catchy popular and Carribbean-flavored score by the songwriters of the film Anastasia, Once on this Island is feast for the heart, mind and soul for audiences of all ages!
