“Two For The Road!” at Cape May Stage

“Two For The Road!”
by Jim FitzGerald & Will Clinger

In the footsteps of Hope and Crosby, Martin and Lewis, Laurel and Hardy, Dreyfus and Zola…comes a new-age twist on the "Road" pictures of old. BIG TIME! A song-and-dance, baggy-pants, hellzapoppin' romp through the perils and pinnacles of show-biz fame and fortune. Follow aspiring funny-men Will Rice and Jimmy Shine as they play every whistle-stop from Kankakee to Katmandu, working their way up the vaudeville circuit. Then, "Look out Broadway!" and "Hello to Hollywood!" Will success spoil Rice and Shine? Or will it be a girl. A Dish,? A Dame? A Doll?! Or will LOVE conquer all? Reminiscent of the screw-ball comedy films of the 1930's and '40's, BIG TIME! offers a new spin on the slapstick world of the vaudeville stage. A fast and furious evening of hilarious hijinks and show-stopping musical numbers, with plenty of schmaltz. A Razzle Dazzle night in the theater.
