“Tiny Island” at Nutley Little Theatre

“Tiny Island”
by Michael Hollinger

As little girls, nestled in the tiny projection booth of their family-owned cinema, Hazel and Muriel grew up on fantasies fed by Hollywood dreams. Now, in middle age, Muriel returns to the fading movie palace and confesses to her estranged sister that she's been hearing voices -- voices that make her want to resurrect the cinema and her own failing marriage. A poignant, powerful play about the limits of love and the limitless magic of the movies.
