Gabor was born in Hungary and escaped with this family during the revolution in 1956. He received his B.A. from New York University and his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati. He was co-founder of the Cincinnati Repertory Company and the American Repertory Theatre of Philadelphia. His poetry has appeared in numerous literary journals, and his collection of poems, Russian Chronicles, was published by Gray Falcon Press. He has written several plays, including Find Me A Voice, which was cited in Back Stage as one of the top three plays of the 1997 Off- and Off-Off-Broadway season. Gabor is co-author of the musicals Hyde and Seek and Immortal Interlude. He is a member of The Dramatists Guild .
