Louis F. Goldberg has conducted over 200 musical productions and has toured the United States and Europe with productions of Man Of La Mancha and Cabaret. He recently completed a three month Off-Broadway run of Red Hot Mama: The Sophie Tucker Songbook starring Sharon McNight at the York Theatre playing Ted Shapiro, a role he has also performed at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Santa Fe Stages, and at the Plush Room in San Francisco. Louis has conducted two productions of The Tin Pan Alley Rag, the first at The Wilma in 1999 and another at The Cleveland Play House last December. He played keyboards for The Wilma’s production of Passion and conducted St. Louis Woman for the Prince Music Theater in Philadelphia. As a pianist, Louis was a 1985 Stravinsky Award Finalist and won Silver and Bronze medals in the International Piano Recording Competition. He has taught on the music theatre faculties of Syracuse University, the University of Oklahoma, and the University of the Arts.
