Joanna Barouch Biography

A New Jersey native and resident, Joanna holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Crane School of Music, SUNY College at Potsdam, and a Master of Music degree from Ithaca College. She has taught vocal, general, and instrumental music in grades K-12 in New York, Massachusetts, and New Jersey. Joanna has also worked in the Education Department of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and has served as the Education Coordinator of the Binghamton Symphony Orchestra. An active musician, Joanna has performed as a chamber musician, solo pianist, and accompanist all over the metropolitan area and upstate New York, Europe, and Israel. Joanna has served as the Musical Director for the Montclair Operetta Club, All Children’s Theater, the Livingston Community Players, and many other theatrical companies. She is currently working as a freelance pianist , adult music educator, and synagogue accompanist. Joanna is also a third generation pianist in her family, and is herself the mother of Rachel Raboy, a talented cellist.
