Marlo Thomas won a Golden Globe Award and was nominated four times for an Emmy Award for her role as Ann Marie in the television series That Girl which ran on ABC from 1966 to 1971. In 1974 she appeared in and executive produced FREE TO BE . . . YOU AND ME based on the book of the same name which was edited by Ms. Thomas. The program won an Emmy as Outstanding Children's Special and the George Foster Peabody Broadcasting Award. Her other television appearances include The Joey Bishop Show (1961-1962), Marlo Thomas in Acts of Love - and Other Comedies (1973), Love, Sex . . . and Marriage (1983, also executive producer), It Happened One Christmas (1977), The Lost Honor of Kathryn Beck, The Body Human: Facts for Girls (1980 - Emmy Award for Best Performer in a Children's Program), Nobody's Child (1986 - Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Special) and Free to Be . . .A Family (1988 - Executive Producer, Emmy Award for Outstanding Children's Program).
