Jess has been working (often through her mother, resident costumer Beth Lillie) with The Road Company since their move to Williamstown in the late 80s. Beginning as a gopher, elevating to costumer and finally actress with the company, Jess is now taking a hiatus as she earns her undergraduate degree in theater from Allentown College. As one of the youngest (19 years old) longstanding members of the company, Jess enjoys co-designing with her mother (Kiss Me Kate, Forever, Plaid, JCS [second time around]) and generally helping out where hands are needed. She hopes that in the future she can design or run wardrobes in New York, and eventually come back and work full time for the Road Company. Her experience with the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire and the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival have made her specialize in Renaissance and Medieval costumes, and she hopes this will get her a decent job after college.
