Received a NYFA fellowship for rum & coke which she has performed to rave reviews and sold out audiences in LA, Chicago, NYC and Miami. Her ability to translate the humor and pathos of her Cuban culture caught the eye of Ted Koppel who featured her and her family on a ‘Nightline’. Carmen was the first PS NBC performer to sign a talent contract with NBC and was also a regular featured contributor for the critically acclaimed Nightline/PBS co-production ‘Life 360’. She appeared in the feature, 'A Very Serious Person' dir. by Charles Busch which premiered at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival.
