Is one of America’s most honored playwrights, having received four Tony® Awards this decade, including Best Play awards for MASTER CLASS and Love! Valour! Compassion!, as well as Best Book of a Musical awards for Kiss Of The Spider Woman and Ragtime. He most recently wrote the libretto for “The Food Of Love”, one of three new one-act opera collectively called Central Park, which premiered last November at New York City Opera. His extensive body of work includes the plays Lips Together, Teeth Apart; Bad Habits; A Perfect Ganesh, and both the stage and screen versions of The Ritz and Frankie And Johnny In The Clair De Lune. Mr. McNally is currently vice-president of the Dramatists Guild, the national organization of playwrights, composers and lyricists.
