He directed Imamu Amiri Baraka's DUTCHMAN and his own play ILLUSTRATION for the 12MWproduction ACTS OF VIOLENCE (Jacqueline Knox was acknowledged by Star-Ledger's Peter Filichia as Most Promising Actress for DUTCHMAN and Schector Lee as Most Promising Actor for LLUSTRATION). Other productions written and directed by Sean: REMEMBRANCE and ILLUSTRATION at the Turnip Theatre Company; staged readings of ROUNDS at the Working Theatre in NYC and as a 12MWbenefit at the Whole Theatre in Montclair; and ILLUSTRATION and 2 WOMEN at the Actors Studio.
He is the author of ROUNDS recipient of six NAACP Image Theatre Awards for the production at the Cast-At-The-Circle Theatre in Los Angeles. The screenplay of ROUNDS is the winner of the Writers Guild of America, East, Foundation Fellowship Award. ROUNDS had its East Coast premiere at 12MW in '96.
