The Spotlight Theatre Company is an official alumni chapter of William Paterson University. It was founded by and is operated by Alumni of William Paterson University. The Spotlight Theatre Company objectives are:
- To provide professional quality productions to the public at large,
- To help hone the theatrical skills of both amateur and professional theatrical personal
- To provide experience to all persons considering or desiring to work in live theatre
- To increase interest in live theatre for the public at large.
- To create opportunities for new theatrical works to be performed and/or developed
At this time The Spotlight Theatre Company offers the following programs for this goal:
- A season of productions (hopefully to increase in length soon)
- A monthly meeting at a members home for the reading and evaluation of a new play.
