“Floyd Collins” at 4th Wall Theatre

“Floyd Collins”

Based on a true story from 1925. Floyd Collins was a Kentucky farmer who sought fame and riches by trying to discover the largest cave in the region, got trapped, and became the subject of an intense media circus (happening just above him on ground level). Floyd spends the show alone with his soul, moving about only in dream sequences; the crowds of gawkers above rob him of his dignity with the carnival they create. This story of dreamers and exploiters features an exhileratingly original American score by the composer of A Light In The Piazza.
