“Second Line” at Passage Theatre Company

“Second Line”

Spanning a 25 year period of tumultuous social change, Second Line follows two middle class, African-American college students whose lives are shaped by the 1960s and 70s. Bennie and JoJo are deeply in love, but their commitment to each other is challenged by their dedication to advancing the Civil Rights movement. As their paths cross over the years, we see how their sacrifices for their beliefs affect their lives – and their world
