Mark Ilardi Biography

Mark Ilardi
s

Mark is back in the director’s chair. He recently directed the season’s opening hit – Noises Off!, an outrageous comedic farce. He also directed last season’s smash “SOLD OUT” hits - West Side Story and GYPSY. Mark also was the Musical Director and Orchestra Conductor for the wonderful production of South Pacific. Mark is a founder of the company and has never missed working on a show since SMSTC’s birth. He has been seen on stage at the Step Inn in many roles, most notably as Tevye in Fiddler On The Roof and as Sancho Panza in last years production of Man Of La Mancha. Mark has Produced and Artistically Directed every show for the company since 1994 and is proud to have directed the lions share of productions for the company. The company received 5 A.C.T. Awards for it’s productions of Joseph... and Oklahoma and Mark had the distinction of winning the Best Director Award for his work in Joseph... Recently, Mark tried his hand at directing an Off-Broadway production in NYC. The show went well but Mark’s first love is Sayreville. Mark is proudest seeing the ideas in his head come to life on stage and is happy to have such talented people surrounding him, helping to make it come true. When Mark is not on stage, he is the Music Minister for St. Catherine’s Church in Mountain Lakes where he directs one of the best church choirs in the state. He also is in a member of the Sayreville Board of Education and was appointed to the Sayreville Cultural Arts Council by Mayor Zagata. Mark would like to thank all his friends and family for their continued support. He would like to especially thank his mother for her unconditional love and the ever growing list of patrons and subscribers who realizes the importance of the work that we all do here together. God Bless.
