Joel Silberman is enjoying a multi-faceted career as a pianist, singer, arranger, composer, accompanist, conductor, theatrical producer, director and educator. He recently made his debut as an operatic stage director for Puccini’s La Boheme at the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia. His recording collaboration with pianist Jean Yves-Thibaudet on Reflections on Duke (Decca), has been awarded the coveted Chaque de la Musique prize in France. Mr Silberman is the recipient of two MAC Awards (Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs) as the “Outstanding Singer-Instrumentalist” of 1993 and 1996. He is presently developing another musical theatre piece, Will’s Women, which he is creating with singer/songwriter Amanda McBroom (“The Rose”). Joel is also touring with his one-man show in America, Europe and Israel.
