returns to the SUMMERFUN to oversee The Search For Signs of Intelligent Life In The Universe, Scotland Road and Present Laughter. In previous seasons she was at the helm of such shows as Breaking Legs, Deanna, The Woman In Black, Shadowlands and Grace and Glorie. Other recent directorial projects include Censored On Final Approach at Kean University and The Heidi Chronicles at William Paterson University. Ms. Strum has taught in the theater departments at Kean, William Paterson, Ramapo, Bergen Community and Marymount Manhattan College. She serves as an adjudicator for The American College Theatre Festival and a playreader for The Young Playwright's Festival. Ms. Strum holds an M.F.A. in acting from Columbia University and received her doctorate from New York University's department of performance studies. She specializes in research involving women in American theater and has written extensively on the life and work of Elisabeth Marbury, dramatist's agent and producer.
