Judith J.K. Polson

Judi is delighted and honored to be a member of NJ Rep. A Manhattan resident, her principal roles in
AEA-approved showcases include Maisie Madigan in Juno and the Paycock on Pulse Ensemble Theatre's main stage, Cratchit in A Christmas Carol at Expanded Arts and Mrs. Sheila Lenihan in Barn at Tribeca Lab. Judi also was M'Lynn in Steel Magnolias at the Riant Theatre in Tribeca, where she previously appeared as Susan Smith (yes, the South Carolina mother who drowned her two small sons!) in the gospel musical Rock-a-My Soul in the Bosom of Abraham. Judi's other Off-Off Broadway roles include the wacky Head Nun (The House of Blue Leaves), the demented political wife Buffy Citizen (Cannibal Cheerleaders on Crack), and the stressed-out housewife Sally (The Mamet Women). (Do we detect a pattern emerging?) Before fleeing to New York, Judi performed in Camelot with the North Carolina Theatre, and was nominated for a Canty award for her portrayal of Ariel in The Tempest. Her opera credits in New York include the title role in Puccini's Tosca and Musetta in La Boheme. A native Midwesterner, Judi is also a member of NYC's Pulse Ensemble theatre and of AFTRA, and is Equity eligible. She thanks Terrence Mann for his encouragement.
